240 hours/month recovered with n8n.
A regional logistics company ran 7 critical processes in spreadsheets + email. We automated them in 4 weeks without replacing the ERP.
Problem.
Fleet coordination, load assignment, delivery note reconciliation, maintenance alerts, customer reports, fuel settlement and incident spreadsheets. Everything lived in Excel + email. Three operations analysts spent their days copying data between systems. Typing errors caused ~$12k USD/month in billing disputes.
Approach.
We did not touch the ERP. We built a self-hosted n8n layer that listened to ERP events via webhooks, normalized data in Postgres, and triggered automations: load assignment, carrier alerts via WhatsApp Business API, PDF delivery note generation, customer reports with weekly metrics. A lightweight Next.js dashboard gave operations visibility.
Result.
240 hours/month freed in operations. Billing errors fell from ~$12k to ~$900 USD/month. Customer reports went from manual weekly to automatic daily. The 3 analysts were reassigned to route optimization, a project that had been stuck for 2 years because nobody had time.
